DDTD and COVID-19 Testing
We at DDTD are actively doing our part to fight the COVID-19 pandemic. True to our mission, we have developed a COVID-19 antibody test that is high-quality, low-cost, and easily deployable, with the intention to serve simultaneously low-income countries and our own domestic needs. Our confidence arises from years spent developing tests for neglected tropical diseases (NTDs). Over time, we have achieved a remarkably sensitive platform and our NTD tests are now up to 32 times more sensitive than comparable devices sold by diagnostic giants.
We have in hand a device that is extremely sensitive in the laboratory (Figure 1). Our test is currently 90% sensitive and 100% specific when tested on whole blood.
